That concept is your personal value level.
Your personal value level is the unique value you bring to the world. It includes your skills, your knowledge, and your degree of influence.
Your personal value level is also the key to determining how much money you make and how much leverage you have over your life, so understanding it — and knowing how to increase it — is critical.
Personal Value Level and Your Income
Society uses a unit of measurement called “money” to communicate the relative value of things. The free market system that we live in incorporates your personal value level to dictate how much money you'll get for the work you do. This amount is determined by how “valueable” you are in the following areas:
- Competition (how unique am I?)
- Education (how skilled am I?)
- Leverage (how influential am I?)
Competition affects your income due to supply and demand. If there's a huge supply of workers all doing a specific job, your demand is low, and, most likely, so is your income. Likewise, education affects your income by the amount of specialized skills or training that's required to perform your particular job. If you're a physician or surgeon and have spent several years in higher education, you're going to be paid a lot more than someone who has not.
But the third factor — leverage — is the most important one to grasp. It is because of leverage that I was literally able to six times my income from the year before.
Leverage is the number of people around the world that your work benefits. You might have the highest level of education possible, doing a job with zero competition, but if you can't leverage your work to reach a large audience, your income potential is limited.
How do I leverage my work, you may be asking?
Learn how to market your value to others.
When I learned the skill of marketing a year ago, it allowed me to take the knowledge, abilities, and expertise that I'd accumulated over my career, and get it out to a much larger audience than I ever had before. I then was able to greatly increase my income in the process.
And you can do it, too. You just need to focus on increasing your personal value level by acquiring new skills that others can benefit from, and then learn how to market that value so people can find you and learn from you.

- What skills can I acquire to boost my personal value level?
- How can I market these skills to the biggest audience possible?
Here's a tip: harness the power of videos. Videos allow lots of people to see you demonstrating your unique value. They learn from you, they come to understand you, and they also see how your value can impact them. Through consistently making videos filled with value, you will obtain the hallmark of the highest level of personal value possible: having a large audience that knows, likes, and trusts you.
All of this skill building will start to create confidence within you. Eventually this confidence will start to show through, and people will begin to seek you out, wanting to be associated with you. When this starts to happen, you'll begin to see the breakthroughs that you're hoping for this year.
I know you can do it. My personal hope is that 2017 will be the year you'll look back and say, “That was the year that everything changed for me.”
