How to Tell Your Personal Story

Do you know how to tell your own personal story?  Your personal story is one of the greatest tools that you have when it comes to recruiting and presenting. In my experience, most people that are in network marketing have absolutely no clue how to do it the right way.  In my training today I give you a step by step blueprint to follow so that you can start telling your story the right way, become a better presenter and start recruiting more people into your business. 

When told correctly, your personal story is one of the greatest assets that you have when it comes to recruiting people into your business.  Unfortunately, most people that are involved in network marketing really don't have any clue how to do it the right way.  Done correctly, it allows you to relate to your prospect and create curiosity for what you are about to share with them.  It's a very powerful and easy way to make whatever 3rd party tool you are going to share with the prospect that much more effective. 

Do you ever struggle with the idea of picking up the phone and calling a potential prospect?  If you do I would bet that's partially because you don't know how to get from the beginning of the conversation into actually sharing your opportunity with them.

I want you to imagine a big, wide and deep river.  On one side of the river where you are now is the beginning of a conversation when your prospect firs says hello.  On the other side of the river is you inviting them to look at your opportunity.  The problem that most people have is they don't know how to cross the river.   Allow me to introduce you the bridge, which is your personal story.

When shared correctly, your personal story becomes the bridge that allows you to cross over and share your opportunity with the prospect.  It creates a natural transition into your invitation and sets up you sharing whatever 3rd party tool you have.

Like I mentioned earlier, most network marketers don't understand the right way to do this.  One of the big mistakes that people make when sharing their story is they try to sell their opportunity and convince people that they should join.  When you do that you begin to raise resistance with the prospect.

When you're first sitting down with or approaching a prospect you want to relate to them and let them know you are just like them.  When you can share your story in a clear, concise and relatable way, it allows you to immediately build trust with the prospect and makes you more effective.
